RIM is a chemical process for molding plastics that mixes and meters liquid raw materials and then injects them into a mould cavity. The part then forms in the mould cavity from which, after a certain time, it is released. Other agents can also be added to the mixture of liquid raw material to provide desired properties such as added strength.
